When students are online, they might know they're being surveyed. They just don't care because what the internet affords them far outweighs any potential harm that can be caused by their information taken from them. So this is kind of post-disciplinary in that it's disciplinary. We discipline ourselves by submitting so easily to these kinds of hidden forms of control and surveillance.
