In medical care, one system can somehow adapt to another so that you develop a way in which the body can function. In some cases, a single measure may be so crucial that when it's out of glack, nothing else works. The question is not to ask, for each individual measure, is it off somehow? But to ask, when you look at them altogether, is the body functioning well?
