Mary Annning Rocks
Mary Annning was a pioneer of paleontology. She discovered the first ichthyosaur when she was 12 years old. And around 12 years later, she discovered the first place theosaurus fossils. But until recently, not many people had heard of her. A 10-year-old girl called Evie Swyer wanted Mary to be honoured with a huge statue in her hometown of Lyme Regis. Finally this year, the statue was being completed. We spoke to Evie a week before the statue was revealed to the public and asked her how she first found out about Mary Annning.
