A lot of leaders don't know they can handle more ambiguity. They're in a role level where they keep pulling you back down to here, even though you have a lot more ability. Emotional intelligence focuses on the interpersonal and emotional aspects of innate ability. If you want to get better at it, be quiet and listen to what people are saying. You can watch their body language and pay attention to it when you're not listening for those that don't know what I'm talking about.
