The hermit crab would have to observe when a bigger hermit crab is likely to be leaving its shell or for a bigger one. So that would take some kind of social observance, like what you'r talking about with the hermit crabs hing other hermit crabs eat. I think also there, they're all about a stealing as well. But who comes up with these rules? You can steal somebody else's shell, but you can't eat iceberg lettuce. Now, they will eat the iceberg letuce. Not that they don't want it, i think, i think the idea is that they will eat it. But it's just, they deserve better.
