In florida, governor desantus decided to put his republican thumb on the scale by endorsing dozens of school board candidates across the state. The governor is so committed to these races that heis even reportedly paying for campaign materials for at least some of those candidates. In order to control the schools themselves, you need to control the school boards. Once you start moulding the curriculum to an ideology that you want, then you're going to train generations of kids.
