The New Law on Candidate Deposits in Elections
Taiwan has a degree of freedom in politics that perhaps is maybe unique in Asia. You can't just register a party and then do nothing, you need to put deposits when you run candidates as well. Even though officially we have 81 parties, if we want to talk about what are actually serious or relevant parties, then I think the number is never more than 10 or so that have a chance.
