The Effects of Functional Overreaching on Performance
If you go for two weeks, you take two weeks off of just everything and you are back to normally your performance recovers, everything is good. If it takes two to four weeks, you're probably in what they call non-functional overreaching. Some people may program that way on purpose to get some super compensation or other things like that. So how you get to what you're doing matters.
