Is Nature Good for Your Brain?
The idea of nature as a therapeutic is, again, at once both really logical and yet revelatory in some way. Early humans who spent time in bio divers environments had everything that they needed to survive - food, shelter, water. And so their brains kind of grew to want to spend time in these natural environments that were good for their survival. So it's really hard wired into us from an evolutionary sense as well. Maybe you know that goes without saying, but just being outside, it is almost that is how human beings were designed. We went inside for shelter, but that wasn't where we were supposed to spend most of our time.
