The way I define a normal developer at least in these days is a person doing a business application. It makes near zero sense for that type of developer to do anything. A lot of platform teams probably won't write their own eBPF code either because they'll be using projects, they'll be reusing existing tools. There's a really interesting project called Inspector Gadget which essentially makes some Kubernetes ready so you can run OpenSnoop and get information about every file open on your system.
