Empathic Leadership - The Importance of Empathy
The empathy competence means you have the ability to sense others feelings and how they see things. Empathic leaders are able to get along well with people of very backgrounds and cultures. Ympathy doesn't mean syking out the other persons so you can manipulate them, but rather, its knowing how best to collaborate with them. Organizational awareness means the ability to read a group emotional currents and power relationships.
