How Do the UFOs Reach Our Planet?

Let's say the u f o phenomenon is real alien spacecraft. Most likely, there's no guarantee that proxima centori is where they're coming from. They could be travelling hundreds of light years to come here. If we can't beat the speed of light, it means that they would have taken millions of years to reach here or thousands of years. So how do they do it? Are they so patient? Mean, if they have long lifetimes, are they so patient they'll wait so long?
