I think that the natural law of norm of justice begins to draw us out of ourselves, because justice by definition is directed towards another. I think what's going on in sin is at root that we are focusing ourselves on our own good to the exclusion of the good of the other. So there is this paradox that lies at the heart of the moral life and of the natural law itself. That paradox really only reaches fruition in the new law, or reaching its climax in the newLaw.
