The Importance of Zion in the Book of Revelation
In isaiah 60, the nations come to contribute to the city's wealth and worship. John goldingat observes that while chapter two focuses upon the significance of the elevation of zion for the nations, in chapter 60, the accent is more on the coming of the nations for the city itself. The chapter begins with a charged to zion, to arise and shine as the glorious dawn of the lord's salvation rises over them. They are to reflect its light to the whole world that is sunk in darkness.
