The History of Beef Noodle Soup

Beef noodle soup is actually a mashup of the food of Chinese refugees who came to Taiwan after 1949. Families like Liang's immigrated from all over China and brought over their diverse culinary techniques. In 1954, the American government started an international food aid program which gave aid to developing countries in the form of wheat. Many grew up with boughs, noodles, and dumplings as their staples and started opening eatery centered around these dishes.
