The New Covenant Deals With the Individual
In the New Covenant God will deal with each person individually for their own sins. That's a complete change from how often in the Old Testament God dealt with them corporately. The sin of this generation could go on affecting to the third and fourth. Ezekiel who came after Jeremiah would say exactly the same thing. And that is why in the New Testament the day of judgment you can't stand in a group, you can't come as a church congregation. You're not in the New Covenant and you can't inherit a place in the Kingdom. Even though your parents are in God deals with you as an individual and you need to come in too.
