Lenin's Decision to Seize Power in Advance of the Congress of Soviets Meeting in Petrograd
In the summer of 1917, Lenin is increasingly saying, just give all power to the Soviets. And it was his decision to seize power in advance of the Congress of Soviets meeting. The reason for that was if the Bolsheviks took power, they could dictate the terms. If the Congress ofSoves took power, the Bolsheviks would only be part of it.
