Blair: National Safety Associates, Inc. got their start in marketing home fire detectors before they were mandated by building codes. The company then began to grow rapidly reporting sales of $380 million in 1992 up from $9 million in 1987. They also started developing and refining as this archived page from Juice Plus puts it an innovative compensation plan adapted from the network marketing industry. In 1986, they officially became an MLM and apparently around that time also began making educational games for preschoolers too.
