Do Gravitational Waves Get Absorbed?

Gravitational waves can't do complicated things like reflect and bounce. When the gravitational wave passes through matter, it does deposit a little bit of its energy into that matter. But as you say, they can also get absorbed. And so there's all sorts of interesting wave effects.
