The Importance of Taking AA Seriously
I do not have a generalised memory problem. If it was memory, if I did, that would explain it. But I believe there is a bit of me which will suppress the truth in order to enable me to have another drink. Something of me is twisting reality because it desperately needs relief and it will do anything to convince my frontal lobes to play ball. The only reason I started to take AA seriously was because I literally had no other choice. It wasn't the surface stuff. Surface stuff may have accelerated. And as a friend of mine says, if that very deep problem is not treated in some way, it will treat itself. One sign of an ego which is still rampant
