The Saudi Arabia-Iran Dialogue
Bob Greene: There are a lot of moving pieces in the Middle East right now. He says Saudi Arabia and Iran have been meeting under Iraqi auspices, but Iranians were more truculent because they're trying to put their thumb on that countryright now. The Saudis wanted to take advantage of Chinese mediation for two reasons; one is China was there as a third party witness if Iranian promised them things over the years. And he said it would be interesting to watch this because the Chinese have never done this kind of thing before in the Mideast.
