The Strange Cycle of the Old Testament

This is the first time that a Pharaoh of Egypt is named in the Bible. Shishak, known by Egyptian sources as Shoshik, was the first king of the 22nd dynasty of Egypt. And what does he do? Well, he comes up against Jerusalem. He actually hits a whole lot of the, the cities in the north and south. But in Jerusalem, it's itself. Here's what he did: He took away the treasures of the temple and he took away the treasure of the palace. The same sort of thing happens still today. You have the reign of Solomon, you have more than once where silver is basically worthless because it's not worth anything. It's
