Magna Carta's 60 Odd Clauses
If we look at the wording of Magna Carta, it's full of words which have no meaning to us today whatsoever. Words like emursments, trithings and halbergett are all feudal terms. It talks about what should happen about fish traps on the river Medway. But there is something recognizable in this document's 60 odd clauses. We do every noun again stumble on one which we think, ah, now thats interesting. And for one moment our freedom loving hearts leap.
