Theory of constructed emotion is a set of ideas that have been backed up by evidence. It's the idea that emotions don't come kind of pre-baked into your brain ready-made. An emotion, word, like anger in our culture, doesn't refer to a specific physical change. It actually refers to a population of highly variable instances that your brain can make in a given situation.
