Do You Love the Lord Your God With All Your Heart, Soul, Mind, and Strength?
Jesus tells the rich young ruler to give up what he has by giving it in charity. Wealth is something that can master us, and we living very prosperous lives should be 'fearful' If you find yourself devoted to riches, you will find yourself unable to follow christ as he calls you to. As jesus teaches in the sermon on the mount where your treasure is, there your heart will be. Also if you want your heart to be invested in the kingdom of god, then invest your treasure there too.
