The AI now Institute has proposed a realistic roadmap for getting AI companies in check. It's part of this general story of an ongoing effort to research into ways that AI can be applied. The proposal is not very realistic, but it does take a pretty antagonistic tone to the tech industry which I'm not sure is super constructive. But still sort of, I thought some interesting, interesting ideas about philosophically how to approach this.
