The Importance of Thinking About the Decisions of the Other Party

Research shows that most negotiators don't spend enough time thinking about the decisions of the other party. The buyer needs to be aware of their lack of information and find a way, either through friends or through professional advice, to make sure that they know the value of what it is that they're bidding on. Otherwise, the seller of the house is most likely to accept it when you at least want them to, when in fact the house was overpriced to begin with.
