The Importance of Radical Acceptance

I think a lot of therapy, particularly person-centered humanistic therapies, that's really at the core of how you work with clients. The task is to flip that and to be objective towards oneself and subjective towards the other. I don't think most people are massively selfish. People do sometimes actualize or try and realize their wants and needs in very destructive ways. But radical acceptance is about recognizing the kind of thing they're ultimately striving for is a bad thing.
