The Story of Weldscrowther

Weldscrowther, a 24-year-old equities trader and volunteer firefighter, had helped save the lives of as many as 18 people on September 11th. He went back inside the burning South Tower at least three times that day to help lead more people to safety before tragically losing his own life when the tower collapsed. Weldscrowther's body was found intact without burns lying alongside several others in what appeared to be a makeshift New York City firefighter command post after 9/11. Several survivors talked about a man in a red bandana to help to lead them to safety. From that detail alone, the Crowthers family knew this hero as well.
