Is There an Inner Advertising Agency That Oversells the Rewards?
We're not entirely free and autonomous in our choices when we're being oversold that way. Over selling is like being spun by an eager sales person who is trying to get you to buy something. We're not really grounded in object reality, object ive reality. That narrative we make inside our minds about in experience is almost always going to be more potent than the experience itself. And that's one of the things that makes wanting so powerful and so edective.
