Homophobia in the United States

Two men are serving life sentences for the murder of a navy lieutenant in Georgia. They were accused of drugging their victim with home-made wine to make him more likely to have sex with them. The defence argued that doctor scudder had a motive to harm these guys because he was a homosexual. During his confession, one man said: "All i can say is they were devils and i killed em" Ben says it's an example of how prejudice exists in this part of the country very much. He also argues that people risk their lives in the legal system fort being who they are.
