The Problem With the Scholar Ecosystem
Kotlin is the least opinionated language that I've encountered, and it's a problem. It doesn't have the nice kind of concurrency primitives that you get with Python or with Kotlin and things like that. Because we're using Kotlin on the JVM, we inherit the entire Java ecosystem which is just as big or maybe even probably bigger than the Python ecosystem. And so for us, we were like, you know, we didn't really see that as a negative when they're looking at what do we have access to?
