The Importance of Illusions in Teaching
I think that speaks to a really kind of complex and deep understanding not just of your subject but of the ability to teach your subject. I reflect on on 10 years as a classroom teacher, those are the things that really kind of were threshold moments for me when I found those you know those illusions and connectionsThose metaphors or whatever they were that helped me to explain to my studentsThings in a in a different way that sent them off on a slightly different tangent and provided a different perspective on things. So so we're talking about spacing things We're talking about testing things and we'retalking about finding those kinds of illusions those connections that we can use to help our students embed those things
