Is There a Direct Relationship Between Performance and Phantom Stock?

Wilk: I'm agnostic on that question, in the sense of, i don't judge what reason you give awards for. What if i believe that i'm not going to get any better? My company is not perform better because it's phantom stock? So the reason i'm doing it is because i really appreciate these people. It's my way of saying, thank you, mary or jim. Is that a good reason to have a fantof sali? But that's a perfectly valid reason and i've drafted phantom stock like that.
