Malaysian Chinese and Malaysian Indians Benefit From Citizenship Rights
Malaysia is a fairly communal country with three main ethnic groups, the Malays, the Chinese and the Indians. In their quest to achieve a kind of cosmopolitan, derasinated Malaya, the pranican failed. But they did mention that there were certain things that they were pushing for once they realized that they weren't able to bring to life the cosmopolitan nation that they wanted. The other thing that's worth thinking about in a more local context is the modern day pranakan has seen almost predominantly as a cultural group.
