The Real Wage of American Workers Hasn't Goed Up for Forty Years
Professor Wolf: Wages have been stagnant for forty years. Productivity has gone up. Profits are being raked in. So employers are willing to hire people as long as they can pay them croppy wages, you know, ten, 12, 15 dollars an hour. This is really like a political thing about the class struggle. Professor wolf: When there is reasonably full employment, and we have a higher level of employment now than we have had,. say, for most of the period of the last half century, since the end of world war two. There's nothing mystical or special about this.
