Why Isn't There More Interest in Linking?

Rust's code base is not nearly as big as some of these other languages for sure. There are a lot of nitty gritty annoying details and undocumented things that you have to deal with when it comes to like the linker. So I really want to dig into these low level details to figure out what works like. Yes, there are people that care about performance,. especially of their end application and you know, Russ to someone's end application.
