The Conflict Between Confession of Faith and Local Decline of Christ
Do you think this view agrees with our confession of faith? That's an important question, which I've given a great deal of thought to. As a minister in a confessional Reformed Baptist Church, I regard this question with the utmost seriousness. In terms of what our confession affirms, there is absolutely no conflict. But does it exclude entirely the possibility of a local dissent? So I believe that you can hold to a local dissent and also affirm that Jesus remained in the state of the dead.
