The Power of Science Fiction to Predict the Future

The idea that science fiction is quite predictive is quite useful. We look at history and how did civilizations react like the Aztecs when the conquistadors came over. And then what can we learn from that and how we might react in if we came into contact with alien life, so on and so forth. So there are analogies as history, there's science fiction, and that can all help us to understand how humanity might react in terms of discovery of aliens.
