Alexander Graham Bell was the inventor of the telephone. He also invented composting toilets and an air conditioner that he used to eat, cool his house. His wife forced him to spell it with a C instead of a K because she didn't like A-L-E-C-K. The character is obsessed with deafness and trying to cure it. And he's also obsessed with eugenics.
