The Importance of Perfection in Music
A friend of mine went to a very posh restaurant in France and he was with his family. The dessert he told me was a pear. It was one ingredient, but it was perfect. So what I talk with record production students about is having each musical gesture carry a lot of weight. Otherwise you can throw on a lot of things, but you would just be talking loud and saying nothing.
