Stress, acute stress in the moment. Effects digestion, affects motility, affects gut sensitivity. Then you layer on top of that the potential hypervigilance that can come with a dietary change where you have this a little bit of anxiety surrounding a change in the food. And then that sort of reinforces your preconceived idea of what was going to happen creates a problem. It's not about some specific timeline or, hey, you got to get this done in this period of time. It's about what is your goal and what can we do to work towards that goal? What about anxiety, stress with relationships or work? Can that directly affect your digestion? Oh, big time.
