Every morning, when the servants came downstairs, they found the front door wide open. The cook would often mutter that actually lived to see this. At last, John and Sebastian prepared themselves to watch through a night to see who was the ghost. They sat without moving till the morning came, and then went upstairs to report to the housekeeper what they had seen.
