On a much deeper level, i was terrified of intimacy and closeness because it meant vulnerability. So the closer that he would get, all the more that i started to feel like i actually really loved this person, i care about this person. Immediately i would go into self protection mode. It would suddenly be to weigh too much. I would feel very suffocated. And what a horrible thing it is for us to live in fear, you know, because it shrinks us. But courage is such a innately human ana ites concept. Because that's there, that's riht there, whatiis facing the fear facing the threat.
