The Revolt of Pasquale Powley

Almost every powerful catholic conservative remaining in france declared war on the republic. But pasquale powley was not your typical catholic conservative. He stayed loyal, on paper, at least. Maybe he still felt a twinge of the enlightenment liberalism of his youth. My guess would be he simply recognized rebellion was not the right play at this moment.
