I Love Growing Apples in the Allotment
My favourite type of apple is a cult of ar called pixy, which was actually bred here at wisley. I've got a couple of trees on the allotment, and there's one tree that i'm particularly looking forward to getting a crop from in my parents garden. If you do things like this and prune your trees appropriately in the winter months, it will increase your chances of getting a good harvest come autumn. You can smell the fresh scent of a wood chip as you walk through the orchard and take the chance to try and spot some of the wild life that we hope wi'll be moving in.
