The Garden of Eden
When you first stood on the back doorstep looking out at the space where that garden is. It was just an old field and very hummicky and up and down. I had a local chap to come in and level it and I sewed it all to grassy. So it's like one great big flat green billiard table. And then I said to my husband, I don't need to make this garden at all because it exists so concretely in my head. He very sweetly said, but you must make it so that I can see it too. Making the garden then was so he could see it as well.
