There were some really classic notes like one of them was please revise Ken and Amy's banter about a tuba being the only thing she can blow. They wanted to give more time to James Franco's character because, you know, he obviously had heartthrob potential. Sam Levine recalled that Judd's phone would ring and he would walk 20 feet away and he'd be pacing on the phone for 40 minutes. Another telling sign was when the cast reportedly got afloat in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade a few months after the show premiered and no one knew who they were.
