The Metaphors of Scientific Theory
Scientific theories are not ultimate descriptions of the universe. Propose that we should hold the world in a particular way. They are ways of holding the world, and each different way enables us to go tdo something. There is perhaps a deeper rol for mathematics that we shall come to later,.
