I saw on Twitter the other day, somebody saying, this is why we need diversity in design. And it showed an example of a automatic soap dispenser that you'd see in a public bathroom which spit out the soap really well when a white hand went under it. So I don't think there was a great example, but there is a point there that you do want to make sure that your thing works for everybody.
